🌙 Sound Bath Consent & Guidelines

Facilitator: Kate Evans – Eudaimonia Wellbeing Studio

Thank you for choosing to join a sound bath at Eudaimonia.
My aim is to create a safe, grounding, and deeply relaxing experience for you.
Please take a moment to read this information so you feel prepared and supported before your session.

💛 About the Experience

A sound bath uses instruments like singing bowls, gongs, and chimes to create a meditative space for rest, reflection, and relaxation.
During the session, you may:

• lie down or sit comfortably
• listen to different tones and vibrations
• experience deep relaxation, imagery, or gentle emotional release

Every experience is unique, and you’re always in control.

This session is for wellbeing, healing and mindfulness, it is not medical treatment, therapy, or a substitute for professional healthcare.

⚠️ Health Screening

To keep you safe, please answer the screening questions honestly.
If you answer YES to any question, please email me at thrive@thecoachingretreat.com before booking so we can make sure the session is suitable for you.

Screening Questions:

  • Are you pregnant?

  • Do you have frequency-triggered epilepsy or sound-triggered seizures?

  • Are you currently being treated for clinical depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, dissociative disorders, paranoid schizophrenia, or any other serious mental health condition?

  • Have you been diagnosed with PTSD (or feel you may have PTSD)?

  • Have you recently had surgery or a medical procedure?

  • Do you have a serious medical condition I should be aware of?

  • Do you require life-saving medication such as an Epi-pen?

  • Do you have metal implants (pins, plates, or joints)?

  • Are you comfortable lying on the floor, or would you prefer a chair?

  • Are you under 18 or considered a vulnerable adult?

If You Are Pregnant

If you are 20+ weeks pregnant:
• you will be supported on your side or back-elevated
• the session will remain gentle and comfortable
• please let me know if you feel any discomfort at any time

🌿 Before Your Session

To support a calm and nourishing experience, please:

• wear soft, comfortable clothing
• avoid a heavy meal beforehand
• avoid alcohol or recreational drugs before attending
• drink some water and bring a bottle with you
• be mindful that access to the studio is via stairs

Bring a thick blanket a warm socks as your body temperature may drop during the sound bath, sleeping bags are good options

🌙 During the Session

You are always in control of your experience.

Please know that you can:
• change position at any time
• raise your hand if you feel any discomfort
• take a break
• leave the session quietly if you need to

Your wellbeing is your responsibility, and I’m here to support you.

🌾 Participation

Your participation is voluntary.
You can withdraw from the session at any time without explanation.

📸 Photography

Occasionally I take photos to promote future sessions.
If you prefer not to be photographed, please let me know when you arrive, I will always respect this.

📅 Session Policies & Cancellations

• Please arrive 10–15 minutes early to settle in, the door will be locked at the beginning of the session
• Phones must be switched off or in airplane mode.
• Respect the quiet, calming environment for everyone.
• Bring anything you need to feel comfortable (mat, blanket, cushion).

Cancellation:
• 24 hours notice is required for refunds.
• If I ever need to cancel, you’ll receive a full refund or the option to reschedule if you've provided  more than 24hrs notice

🔐 Privacy & Data Protection

Your personal information is used only for providing sound bath services and is stored securely for seven years in line with professional standards.
It will never be shared without your consent unless required by law.
